Effective Sciatica Treatment Course
4 Hours | Instructor: Jeanette Roach, CHEP, LMT
Expand Your Skills & Help Clients Find Relief
Sciatic nerve dysfunction is one of the most common causes of chronic pain, affecting nearly 40% of adults at some point in their lives. The sciatic nerve, the longest nerve in the body, can become irritated or compressed due to herniated discs, muscle tension, or spinal misalignment, leading to intense lower back pain, numbness, tingling, and weakness that radiates down the legs. This condition can limit mobility and significantly impact quality of life.
Many individuals seek non-surgical, therapeutic solutions, making this a highly valuable skill for massage therapists. By learning specialized hands-on techniques, you can offer effective relief to a diverse client base, including:
- Office workers & remote employees – Prolonged sitting can tighten muscles and compress nerves.
- Athletes & active individuals – Repetitive movements and strain can trigger sciatic pain.
- Pregnant individuals – Hormonal changes and shifting weight distribution can put pressure on the sciatic nerve.
- Older adults – Degenerative conditions like arthritis increase the risk of nerve compression.
