Irene’s – Why did you choose massage therapy as a career?
Daniella – I originally had an interest in massage at the age of 18 but decided to go into healthcare-related jobs for the next ten years until I came back full circle to Massage Therapy.
Irene’s – Where do you practice massage therapy?
Daniella – I work full time at Massage Luxe in Ann Arbor Michigan.
Irene’s – What is the most rewarding part of your massage career?
Daniella – Lately the feedback has been really great about helping improve quality of life and pain management for people. Otherwise learning and growing every day is a wonderful thing.
Irene’s – Do you have a favorite memory from massage school?
Daniella – The comradery. I had so many great and like-minded people that I was surrounded with on a regular basis. Everyone was so nice and caring, from the teachers and staff to the students. I felt like I had so much support and it was really nice to have while learning.
Irene’s – What was the best class you took at Irene’s massage school?
Daniella – I loved all the Thai Massage classes with Randy. Thai opened up a whole other world of massage for me.
Irene’s – What bodywork modalities or massage techniques do you find most effective?
Daniella – I use a lot of Myofascial work along with Trigger Point therapy and of course Thai Massage.
Irene’s – What was your greatest success with a massage client?
Daniella – I have many but honestly if I can make a small difference in how someone feels that is all that matters to me. It is always good to hear that you are helping in any way.

Daniella – I am currently working at Massage Luxe Scio Township Ann Arbor Michigan. I have been working there since March 2, 2021.
Irene’s – What do you do for self-care to provide longevity for your massage career?
Daniella – I have over time started doing more and more for myself. I get a massage every two weeks; I take Epsom salt baths a few times a week. I have also completely revamped my diet and have healthily lost 40 lbs since March. My self-care has improved drastically and I don’t think it would be that way without having started this career.
Irene’s – To what do you attribute your success as a massage therapist?
Daniella – All of my support. My friends, my family, my partner, teachers, staff, and my doggies. I had so many people rooting for my success and holding me up. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have made it through. For that, I am truly thankful.
Irene’s – What marketing do you feel has worked best to promote your massage practice?

Irene’s – What do you feel was the biggest mistake you made as a massage therapist and how did you address it?
